Apologies if this has been discussed before but how do you guys ensure that your channel frequencies are up-to-date?
I use both Freeview (DVB-T) and Freesat (DVB-S) tuners and whilst Freeview hardly every seems to change, the satellite channels are always jumping about.
The other day, I went to watch the channel "Challenge" and noted that it was not working. I checked Kingofsat and realised that the frequency had changed quite a while ago but the only way I am able to find that out was to actually try and watch the channel and have it fail.
I was just wondering how others deal with this.
Thanks
Keeping my frequencies up-to-date.

Re: Keeping my frequencies up-to-date.
Thanks for that - a very useful website.
How do you keep all your frequencies up to date (and how often)?
Do you, for example, download the new .xml file and rescan once per week?
Am I correct in thinking that if I do the rescan, any frequency changes shall automatically be update?
Also, how do you deal with channels being removed? I assume that they just stay in Argus until they are manually deleted?
It would be really great to develop some way of automating all this.

Hi,
Further to the above, I did another frequency scan and everything seems to have become a bit messed - seems to have been quite a few freesat updates.
Is there a systematic method to sort everything out following a re-scan?

Hi els
Depending on the recorder you use, yes. In Argus Recorder, you can delete all links Channel/Service and then select on the upper right corner a scan date to see only the results of that scan. Default when opening the section: all are shown.

Just for your information

Hey providers - that source was used by us, too. I took your information as a trigger to add it to Argus' Wiki-Article http://www.argus-tv.com/wiki/index.php? ... Parametersproviders wrote:I always get newest frekvencies from http://satellites-xml.eu/
