I am just about to buy a TBS Quad satellite card but noticed, on their website, that there are about four different versions.
I e-mailed the company, to ask which one they recommend for me, and this was their response:
So ultimately, they seem to be suggesting that the TBS6904 is the one I want.6908,6904, 6905, all using our new PCI-E ECP3 bridge it is PCI-E 2.0, TBS6908 using professinal ST ship which support ACM,VCM special signal receive.
TBS6904 using TMAX , TBS6905 using the normal ST
6985 is using NXP7160 PCI-E bridge it is PCI-E1.0a this is the older card we are not making anymore.
If you just receive the normal signal want to use quad card you can have a try with TBS6904.
Thanks
kind regards
I was just wondering if someone could help me understand what the differences mean in practical terms - i.e. what is the difference between TMAX, ST and ACM/VCM?
Thanks
