[4TR migration] Is it possible to re-import the recorded tv

Post by x-cimo » Fri Dec 07, 2012 10:27 pm

I've moved to argus, my setup is on a ESXi therefore I just reverted to a clean state and re-installed from scratch.

I still have all my recording on my NAS, (contain .ts + xml file), is there anyway to re-import thoses into argus so they get displayed in the XBMC plugin?

Right now only new recording are gonna show.

Thanks!

have you tried Import/Synchronize in the Scheduler Console, under Recorded programs?
You can fix it, or you can fix it until it's broken. I usually choose the latter.

Server: WHS 2011. Hauppauge HVR 2200. Avermedia A835. ArgusTV Server. EPG Collector.
Clients: Win7 64bit. MediaPortal. ArgusTV Client. StreamedMP.

By xml you mean the .4tr files? Now the software is called ARGUS TV the new metadata files have the .arg extension. You may have to rename the .4tr to .arg to import them successfully, not sure. This can easily be done with tools like Bulk Rename Utility.
ARGUS TV + Recorder, 4 x FloppyDTV DVB-C, Smargo Smartreader Plus, MDAPI Plus, ACamd, OSCam, Win7 x64.

For some reasons I remembered they were xml, they are actually thumbnail image .thmb

Everything worked fine with the steps above. Thanks guys!
