UNC Client Reaching Live Point on Current Recording

logifuse wrote:When you have an MP client connected via UNC, if they start watching a current recording & skip forward to the live point, playback stops & they're returned to the list or recordings or list of currently recording programs (depending on where they selected the recording from). This doesn't happen via RTSP (either MP or XBMC) & it doesn't happen on the combo client/server (MP) - in both of those cases the playback is not allowed to get within 5 seconds of the live point.

Realistically, RTSP isn't an option as it's too slow to start playback & there are a few quirks (like if you pause for too long).

Ideally I'd like to move my tuners out of my main HTPC & in to a stand alone server, but this is a show stopper as I watch a daily news program where I tend to start a few minutes late & catch up.

Surely it's just a case of implementing the same 5 second rule for the UNC client?

It seems to have been solved in Argus 2.01.

Can anybody else confirm? And was it specifically addressed?

Thanks.
