1.5 Pre-release

Post by twemperor » Thu Aug 22, 2013 7:03 am

Anybody try Argus 2.1 with the 1.5 pre-release? I'm having difficulty with the MediaPortal client plug-in...

Not working here.. let's hope for an interim release - looks like the only thing that needs changing is the version number.

Version number shouldn't matter. ARGUS TV should say its not comparable and give the option of trying anyway.

Out of interest, is this using the 1.4 (beta) plugin files?
You can fix it, or you can fix it until it's broken. I usually choose the latter.

Server: WHS 2011. Hauppauge HVR 2200. Avermedia A835. ArgusTV Server. EPG Collector.
Clients: Win7 64bit. MediaPortal. ArgusTV Client. StreamedMP.

I'm using MP 1.5 Pre-Release and have just re-installed Argus 2.1. Re-installing Argus got ride of the plugin incompatibility message when MP starts (initially I had just copied the TvPlugin.dll file into the new install of MP) but for some reason nothing is showing up on the Recorded TV screen in MP. The TV Guide shows up and I can set recordings but when trying to view Scheduled Recordings I'm getting a message that the "ARGUS_UpcomingTv.xml" file is missing (it isn't). I'm getting he same results using Default Wide, Titan & my customised version of Titan.

Cheers.

So you used the MediaPortal Plugin files found here?

ARGUS TV 2.1 doesn't do MP 1.4 "out of the box" yet, you need to manually replace some files, so I'd fully expect 1.5 to not work either.

Thanks for that, I had forgotten about those files (which I had been using with MP 1.4) - all working now :)

Are any of you using Argus with the MediaPortal 1.5 TV server? The new MP TV Server supports Cable Cards, which is great for cable television here in the US. I'm really missing the beautiful Argus scheduling interface though.

You can run Argus scheduler together with mp-server :)

How did you get get Argus to work with MP? After I installed Argus, I could not see the Argus plugin in the MP TV Server configuration.
