Is Argus going multi-platform?

Post by sgibbers17 » Tue Oct 21, 2014 3:28 am

I thought I saw a post somewhere that Argus was moving to be multi-platform but I can not seem to find it. Is Argus eventually moving to Linux? I currently have Argus installed on a Windows 8 VM on ESXi running along side unRAID. With unRAID V6 coming out and supporting Dockers it would be great to install Argus inside a container instead of using a full fledged Windows 8 VM. Dockers don't allow for PCI pass-through but if I change my tuners to HDHomeRuns I don't need pass-through.

I don't think so.

Client-wise, it's becoming a TV backend for a number of clients that are multi-plaform (XBMC/Kodi & MediaBrowser), so perhaps that's where the confusion lies?

Edit: does this news from Microsoft help the transition to Linux?
