It looks like SiliconDust has refreshed their lineup of HDHomeRun devices and introduced the HDHomeRun EXTEND (http://www.silicondust.com/products/hdh ... hdhomerun/) which supports DNLA and transcoding on the fly from the device. I'm considering upgrading my original HDHomeRun Dual (now called CONNECT) so that I can get the new features but I've got two questions for anyone that might already have one:
1) Does the new EXTEND work with Argus TV?
2) Is full HD video still streamed at 15 Mbps or does the transcoding drop that bandwidth down to something smaller?

Re: HDHomeRun EXTEND
I think you should ask silicon dust this question.
From my experience with hdhomerun settings which type of application you use select if you get the full mud or just the channel you need.
So mainly dependent of driver and selections you do in home run config app
